3-day workshop with Akis Goumas

This 3-day seminar aims at highlighting the value of measurements, proportions and axes when forming 3-dimensional shapes. We will start with an introduction on the golden ratio, the Fibonacci numbers and their relation to the mechanisms of evolution in nature, architecture, fine arts and their application on everyday life. We will study the world of three dimensions through the notions of meter, scale, rhythm and composition. In order to give shape to our ideas, we will make mock-ups that will then be executed in metal. The purpose of this process is to create small 3D constructions-jewelry that we find it difficult to perceive and design beforehand, as they are the result of a particular complex course of action. The processes to be followed involve the development of an idea and its composition, as well as the improvement of the skill and the preciseness of application on the creations.
Basic knowledge on silversmithing is a prerequisite.
