In this course, the goal is primarily to liberate the mind through several exercises of experimentation and play, so that we can set ourselves free of any constraints. At the same time, through observation, we will try to understand the mechanisms of creativity – how it works and what impedes it – in order for each one to approach and discover his/her personal creative identity. Having the body as a starting point, we will ask ourselves “what is it, how does it think and how do we get related to it”. The course is open towards several directions, but, mainly it studies and focuses on the interaction between body and jewelry piece/object. During our two-month voyage, the necessary “tools” will include curiosity, experimentation, persistence, observation and the development of critical thinking, fantasy and collaboration. To quote Frank Capra, “A hunch is creativity trying to tell you something” and Einstein “Logic will take you from A to B, imagination will take you everywhere”.
